Planned Giving & Bequests
It takes a lifetime to build an estate.
Don’t you want to plan how it is distributed to help secure the future of those you love as well as the most vulnerable of our neighbors?
You have the choice of determining how your assets will be used well into the future.
You can name Meals on Wheels as a beneficiary of your will. Bequests can be written a number of ways. The best way to determine the appropriate bequest for your estate is to work with your attorney, tax adviser or accountant. We can work with you and your advisers to set up bequests that are in your best interests and also support our work.
Meals on Wheels can also be named as a beneficiary of your life insurance or pension plan. There may be significant tax benefits related to these gifts. Once again, it is important for you to work with your financial and legal advisers to determine the best way to do this for your individual situation.
We hope that you will let us know that you have included Meals on Wheels in your will or as a beneficiary of your insurance or pension plan. We would want you to know how much we appreciate your kind gesture through private or public acknowledgement. However, we will also keep your gift in the strictest confidence if that is what you wish.
Thank you for considering joining us as we plan for the future of Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County.
